Bio

I  love the action of using any tool, charcoal, paint, walnut skin, graphite, pallet knife to sweep over the paper,  to scratch, rub, smudge, obliterate and release. 

My work is successful when I allow this process to be the immediate expression of my sensations with no filters, adjustments or corrections.  

I’m inspired by the dense green woods and creeks of Indiana, the open spaces of Colorado,  and  my response to music like Tchaikovsky, The Dead Can Dance, Gershwin and more.  

I Completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts Cum Laude at the University of Cincinnati and future studies at Arrowmont and Penland School Fiber Programs.
